Manchester United make a trip to The Britannia Stadium as Louis van Gaal’s men face Stoke City in the Premier League clash scheduled between the two sides on New Year’s Day.
The 20-times English champions are unbeaten in the last nine league matches, which has seen them register seven wins. The Dutchman will be hoping to start the 2015 on a brighter note by registering a win over Stoke.
The hosts have already defeated Arsenal 3-2 at home last month and Mark Hughes will be expecting a similar display when they face United for Thursday afternoon’s kick-off.
The lineup for the game is given below:
Stoke City: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Muniesa, Pieters; N’Zonzi, Whelan; Arnautović, Walters, Diouf; Crouch
Manchester United: De Gea,; Jones, Smalling, Evans; Young, Carrick, Mata, Rooney, Shaw; Van Persie, Falcao
