Wolfsburg sporting director, Klaus Allofs has confirmed an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Kevin De Bruyne.
The former Chelsea player has been linked with a move to Manchester City all summer and it seems that both clubs have finally reached an agreement.
Belgian, De Bruyne enjoyed an outstanding season in Bundesliga last year, scoring 16 goals and picking up 28 assists. The attacking midfielder was voted the best player in Bundesliga.
Long term target for City, De Bruyne was also courted by Manchester United.
However it seems Manchester City have sealed the transfer and it should be announced before the end of the week.
“We will complete everything either tonight or tomorrow. De Bruyne is off to Manchester City,” said Allofs.
“I explained at the presser that we had begun talks, those talks have progressed. Now only minor issues remain.”
De Bruyne is set for his Manchester City medical this week and will complete a mega money move back to the Premier league.
The Belgian had an unsuccessful spell in England previously with Chelsea and will be hoping to prove his doubters wrong with Manchester City.
De Bruyne signing takes Manchester City’s transfer spend towards a stunning 150 million pounds for this summer. Considering the money spent and the start City have made to their season, Pellegrini will be under immense pressure to deliver the league title this season.
