AC Milan have sounded out a hands-off warning to those interested, that star winger Stephan El Shaarawy will not be sold in the summer, following rumours of strong interest from Premier League outfits – Chelsea and Manchester City.
Reports emerged yesterday that Chelsea are plotting a move for the Milan ace, as Jose Mourinho looks to have earmarked him as a potential transfer target.
The 20-year-old has been courted by several European heavyweights, including the likes of PSG, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal, but it appears that Chelsea have stolen a march on their rivals with a big money offer.
However, Milan have moved swiftly to quash all rumours about El Shaarawy. The statement on Milan’s official website read:
“There has been a meeting between (Milan vice president) Adriano Galliani, Stephan El Shaarawy and the young star’s entourage.
“Everything went well. Stephan has always been an AC Milan fan and has reiterated his determination to continue playing for the Rossoneri.
“That pledge was reciprocated by Milan, with conviction. Milan and El Shaarawy will move forward together, as they have since 2011.
“No more talk of the transfer market, no more rumours. AC Milan, the Rossoneri colours and the ‘Faraone’ will absolutely continue on together.”
The youngster has scored 16 league goals last season and signed a one-year contract extension in February extending his stay at the San Siro until 2018.

Mourinho is now expected to step up his chase for either of Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney or Borussia Dortmund’s Robet Lewandowski, reports the Daily Mail.
English tabloid Daily Star claims that Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal could be interested in signing Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic after the club’s executive Sandro Menucci admitted they were open to selling the Montenegro international.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also looking to land the highly rated Portugal under-20 starlet Bruma, who is dubbed as the “next Cristiano Ronaldo”, and Mourinho is willing to offer €15m for the 18-year-old.
