Alex Texeira, the Brazilian midfielder from Shakhtar Donetsk has confirmed that Chelsea are in advanced talks with the Ukrainian outfit to sign him.
The Brazilian has also spoken of his desire to move to England and claimed that it is his dream to play in the Premier League.
“What I’ve seen, and what my manager has said, is that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG made offers. But Chelsea and Juventus are deeper into negotiations.
“They’re three big clubs. Wherever I go, I’ll be happy.
“It’s my dream [to go to England]. I’ve spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best in the world, more contested, and I want to have this challenge in my career”, he said.
Furthermore, the highly skilled midfielder extended his support to the Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and said that he hopes the Portuguese will stay at Stamford Bridge.
Texeira said that Mourinho is the best coach in the world and the player is keen to play under him at Chelsea and achieve great things.
Texeira said: “He’s the world’s best coach. I think I would learn a lot from him.
“I hope he doesn’t leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.
“He has this aggressive way because he always tries to be the best. I want to overcome this challenge.”
The Shakhtar midfielder has attracted a lot of interest with his explosive performances this season in the league as well as the Champions league.
Primarily operating as a central attacking midfielder, Texeira can play as a striker or out wide as a forward.
The 25 year old Brazilian has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season and is being monitored by the likes of PSG and Juventus as well.
