Italian media outlet TMW is one the most reliable and trusted transfer related sources throughout Europe. Thus when they provide an exclusive report, it is usually taken seriously. They have published a report yesterday night claiming that Chelsea striker Loic Remy could well leave Stamford Bridge in the coming summer.
The French forward who signed for the Stamford Bridge side from Queens Park Rangers has hardly made an impact for the run-away Premier League leaders. He has featured in 19 appearances, 13 of which have been coming off from the bench.
Remy has scored 5 goals but has played second fiddle to Diego Costa as well as Didier Drogba sometimes. Thus he could well leave Chelsea for more game time elsewhere.
The report states that Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has earmarked Remy as his priority signing for the summer. However, it remains to be seen if Chelsea do sell the player in the transfer market. It is believed that Drogba will hang up his boots at the end of the season and will be just involved in a coaching role.
Jose Mourinho will thus be just left with Costa as his only striker thus might not be willing to sell Remy after all. We shall definitely have an answer in the summer.
