The Blues have a number of on-going injury problems up-front. Diego Costa likely to shake off a bruised knee to be in contention for the West Brom game on Wednesday night, while Loic Remy is also available after a calf problem. Colombian striker Radamel Falcao remains out with a thigh injury.
Hiddink has admitted that the Blues are looking to sign a new striker in the current transfer window.
Young Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford has returned after a disappointing loan spell with Crystal Palace. Bamford is keen to prove himself at Chelsea, but it remains to be seen whether he will get enough first team chances this season.
According to reports from The Times, Chelsea are looking to lodge a formal bid for Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy, who has scored 15 goals in the Premier League this season.
Claudio Ranieri said earlier that none of his key players will be sold in January, but can Leicester resist the temptation if Chelsea come up with a big money offer for Vardy?
