Manchester United are struggling horribly this season under new manager David Moyes. They are out of domestic cup competitions, title race and now even top four challenge seems a difficult task at the moment.

Trailing Liverpool, who are in fourth position, by 11 points, there is a genuine danger that the Red Devils might not finish in top four this season.

And even there are no guarantees that United will qualify for the Europa League. The situation might get complicated, if Sunderland win the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City tomorrow. This will allow the Black Cats a guaranteed entry into the Europa League next season.

The club would certainly enter into discussions about playing number of friendly matches abroad to offset the cost of having no European football, which could be as much as £25 million.

Manchester United has earlier visited Dubai this year for warm-weather training camps and Qatar and Saudi Arabia before, however, it will be a new experience for them to play money-spinning friendlies with other teams during the course of the season, just for the sake of generating revenues.

The Times reports that the club is exploring all possible means of earning revenues and announced yesterday that hey would show their final pre-season friendly, against AIK Solna, in the summer on pay-per-view.
