Celtic are expected to sign the PSG striker Odsonne Edouard this summer.
As per the reports, the 20-year-old will become the club’s record signing.
Rodgers wants the highly talented attacker in his squad next season and Celtic are prepared to smash their transfer record in order to make the move possible.
Edouard was on loan at Celtic last season and he managed to impress Rodgers with his performances.
The 20-year-old Frenchman scored 11 goals for the Scottish champions in 29 appearances.
Apparently, Celtic have an option to sign the striker permanently for a fee of £10million and they plan to trigger the clause.
It is believed that Edouard is keen on joining Celtic permanently as well. The player believes that playing under Brendan Rodgers would be ideal for his development.
He is unlikely to get any first-team chances at PSG and therefore a move away is the best option for him at this stage of his career.
