Celtic are set to complete the summer signing of Odsonne Edouard from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 20-year-old forward was on loan at Celtic last season and the Scottish champions have activated the option to make the move permanent.
As per BBC, Celtic have agreed to pay a club record fee to sign the French striker who managed to score 11 goals for Brendan Rodgers’ side last season.
Back in March, Rodgers said: “He is one of the best young players I have worked with – his movement, his touch, his all-round play.”
The report claims that the transfer fee will be in excess of £8m. Previously, Celtic’s record signings were Chris Sutton and John Hartson.
Rodgers is an admirer of the young PSG attacker and he revealed last season that Edouard is one of the best young talents he has worked with.
It will be interesting to see how the Frenchman performs next season. He had a very good debut season in the Scottish league and he could develop into a real star for Celtic next year.
