Bukayo Saka is set to begin talks over extending his Arsenal contract at the end of the current season according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Hale End academy superstar Saka has progressed from future star to one of the most prominent attacking threats in the Gunners’ armoury this term.
Saka quickly shook off the disappointment of missing a penalty for England as they crashed out of the Euros last summer and is having the most productive season of his career.
Arsenal fans are desperate for the club to tie the 20-year-old winger down to a long-term contract due to concerns that Liverpool and Manchester City have expressed interest in signing him.

And in a major boost for Gunners fans, Romano believes there is nothing to suggest that a contract extension cannot be agreed with childhood Arsenal fan Saka.
“I wanted to say one thing about Bukayo Saka because it’s normal to have a lot of rumours on Bukayo Saka. This boy is doing incredible. I think sometimes he’s underrated in the press, but he’s a special talent,” Romano told The Here We Go Podcast.
“The player loves Arsenal, and at the moment, he’s not planning for something different. Contract talks won’t take place now.

“It’s not in February, it’s not in March, they will discuss maybe end of the season. But Arsenal are, of course, happy with him, and he is happy with them. So I don’t see any problem.”
Saka’s seven Premier League goals and four assists have given Arsenal a solid chance of beating rivals Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham to the coveted fourth-place and potential Champions League qualification.

The England star is fourth favourite to be crowned PFA Young Player Of The Year and can be backed at odds of 9/1. Manchester City ace Phil Foden is the bookies’ favourite, followed by Conor Gallagher and Saka’s fellow Gunner Emile Smith Rowe.
The north Londoners welcome Wolves to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, just two weeks after they recorded a tense 1-0 win over the Midlanders at Molineux.
