Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge with the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid tipped to be his next destinations.
The Spanish international had a training ground row with manager Antonio Conte recently and was dropped against Leicester City as a result of that. The striker has been training alone ever since and has also rejected a contract extension offer from the Premier League leaders.
Costa has been in phenomenal form so far this season and has scored 14 goals in the league.
Independent are reporting that Barcelona want to sign the Chelsea star in order to add more depth to their striking department. Luis Suarez is turning 30 next week and the Catalan giants want an experienced backup in place.
The report also claims that Costa’s former club Atletico Madrid want him to replace Antoine Griezmann at the club. Independent claim that Atletico Madrid are almost resigned to losing the Frenchman to Manchester United in the summer for a fee of £100m. Apparently, their sources in Madrid and Manchester are expecting the deal to happen. They also add that Atletico Madrid are willing to pay around £40m for Diego Costa in the summer.
The 28-year-old is a world-class striker when on form and would be a tremendous addition for most teams around Europe. Costa has been linked with a move to China as well, but he is expected to return to Spain when he leaves Chelsea.
