Porto striker Jackson Martinez will decide his future after Colombia’s World Cup campaign gets over. The 27 year old has been linked with Arsenal over the past few months but the player remains tight lipped over his future, instead claiming he wants to fully concentrate on his country’s quarter final clash against hosts Brazil.

Arsenal are in the market desperate to sign a striker as manager Arsene Wenger wants to mount a serious Premier League title challenge in the coming season. Martinez would seamlessly fit in the Emirates side having scored 23 goals in 41 appearances for Porto in the 2013-14 campaign.

We had earlier reported that Valencia were closing on the Colombian after Singaporean businessman and investor Peter Lim completed the purchase of the Spanish club. However reports have died down ever since over the past few days and now English tabloid Daily Express claims that the striker would jump at the chance of joining the Gunners.

The English daily has quoted the player saying, “As a child I cheered for Arsenal, they play a game that suits me. If I had the occasion to play there, I would say yes.

However the credibility of the source is yet to be verified as there have been no such news regarding the player in the Portuguese Media.
