VfB Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger has changed his agent in the middle of the summer transfer window. Reason? Pretty simple – he wants a move away from the German club.
The 22-year-old central defender has appointed his brother Sahr Senesie to take care of the business. His preferred clubs are Wolfsburg, Porto or Chelsea, according to reports from German tabloid Bild.
Bild reckons there has been a difference of opinion between the player and his former agent, as a result they have parted ways.
Ruddier says that when his brother approached him to become his future advisor he couldn’t say ‘no’ to his request.
The defender started his youth career with Borussia Dortmund and later at Stuttgart from where he went on to represent the club’s first team in 2012. He has made 66 league appearances for the club so far and has two goals to his name.
He represented various German national youth teams and made his senior debut in 2014 in Germany’s 0-0 draw against Poland.
To be honest, we don’t see Chelsea making a move for him any time soon. The club are looking for an established defender, and if the reports are to be believed the Blues are plotting a move for Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld. Even Kurt Zouma, who impressed last season, could be allowed to move on loan.
