Atlético Madrid forward, Antoine Greizmann, has established himself as one of the best players on the planet right now.

The Frenchman has not only succeeded at club level. The former Sociedad attacker was sensational for his country during Euro 2016, as well. His consistent performances over the last few seasons have caught the eye of several European heavyweights.

Recently, Greizmann was linked with a move to the Premier League. The Atlético Madrid star revealed his admiration for Paul Pogba in an interview, and that resulted in him being linked with a move to Old Trafford. Daily Mail reported a few weeks ago that Mourinho wants to sign Griezmann in the summer.

Back then, Griezmann claimed that it would be amazing to play with Paul Pogba one day, and the Atlético star also praised Manchester United.

Griezmann has now dropped another major hint regarding his next transfer destination if he leaves Atlético Madrid. The La Liga attacker revealed that he will play in the Premier League or La Liga in the future. He also revealed that he is not ready to play in Ligue 1 yet.

He said:

The PSG project is interesting but the Ligue 1 is not. I prefer to stay in La Liga or go in the Premier League . If I had to leave La Liga would be to go to England. I will never go to Real Madrid, anyway there is a pact between the two teams. Barça? There are three untouchable there.

The news will come as a major boost to Mourinho and Manchester United if they are, indeed, interested in him. If Griezmann leaves Atlético, a move to Barcelona and Real Madrid seems very unlikely. The Catalan giants cannot accommodate him, and Real Madrid simply won’t consider a rival player. Considering the player’s current status, he is unlikely to join any other club in Spain right now.

As far as the Premier League is concerned, Manchester United and Arsenal are the only clubs who need a top class striker, and the Old Trafford giants have the financial means to pull off a mega money deal.

Having said all of that, Griezmann seems happy in Spain right now and there is no reason why he would choose to leave at the end of this season. Furthermore, Manchester United might need to improve a lot in order to sign a player of his calibre. Griezmann is used to challenging for top honours consistently, and United are not exactly on that level yet.
