Andrew starts the new week with four selections at Carlisle, Wolverhampton and Newcastle on Monday November 8th:

CARLISLE 3.10

FRENCHY DU LARGE (system –Venetia Williams November handicap chasers)

Venetia Williams has a fine record with her handicap chasers in November, especially the younger ones. This century, had we backed those aged eight or younger we’d have won 84 of our 381 and made a profit of £182.76 to a £1 level stake at SP. Prominent racer FRENCHY DU LARGE could be hard to pass in this 2m4f contest.

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.55

ALJARYAAL (system – ex-Owen Burrows-trained runners)

Horses who switch from Owen Burrows to other yards often run well at the first time of asking for their new handlers, winning nine of their 55 starts for a profit of £41.42 to a £1 level stake at SP. ARJARYAAL’s pedigree perhaps says Polytrack rather than Tapeta but is still worth a token interest on his debut for in-form Joseph Parr.

NEWCASTLE 5.30

BARBARA’S INCHARGE (system – sire Ardad 2yo debut)

Progeny of the sire Ardad tend to be precocious and often run well on their racecourse debuts. This angle has thrown up nine winners from 53 bets for a huge profit of £164.83 to a £1 level stake at SP. All those winners came on turf but only seven ran on the all-weather and the latest qualifier placed at 66-1. Perhaps in-form Grand Tuer can saddle yet another winner courtesy of BARBARA’S INCHARGE, whose dam won first-time out as a juvenile.

NEWCASTLE 6.30

JANAAT (system – Mark Loughnane, first run in an AW handicap)

Trainer Mark Loughnane has a solid record with his runners having their first go in an all-weather handicap, regardless of whether they’ve run in handicap company or not on turf previously. Thirteen of the 130 qualifiers have scored for a profit of £93.33 to a £1 level stake at SP. JANAAT went close in novice company at Wolverhampton last time and can get off the mark tonight.
