Andreas Pereira’s agent has revealed that his client could leave Manchester United in the summer due to lack of first team chances. The 19 year old Brazilian is reportedly frustrated with the lack of first team chances and the player has attracted interest from Serie A Champions Juventus while Dutch sides PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord are also interested.
Pereira has a contract with the Old Trafford side till the end of the season and there have been no developments with a possible extension. His agent Leo Scheinkman has claimed that Pereira has not entirely thought to leave the club but is considering options and it depends on United on whether they are willing to hand Pereira a new deal.
Scheinkman told Italian media outlet Tuttosport (as relayed by Mirror), “The player is flattered by the interest of a big club like Juventus.”
“It is clear that for a young player, though very talented as Pereira, the idea of playing in an ambitious team like Juventus is a great temptation. However, before taking any decision we still want to see if United are willing to make another offer, although I think in the end the player’s choice does not depend on just how much the cost will be proposed.”
“Andreas wants to play and have more space than he has currently at Manchester and this will be crucial for him in choosing which jersey to wear next season.”
Pereira also said that he regularly talks with former Manchester United player Paul Pogba who plies his trade at Juventus. The young Brazilian said, “Paul tells me Turin is perfect for me. Everybody knows that Juve are a great club.”
“I’ve spoken with Pogba plenty of times because we’re friends. But right now, I’m contracted to Manchester United. My agent is assessing the offers which have arrived, including from Juventus, but this is no secret. I’ve not made up my mind yet, I’m just considering my offers.”
