According to reports from Brazil, Manchester United outcast Anderson could well head towards the exit from Old Trafford. A likely return to his homeland, Brazil seems likely with Internacional interested in the player in a deal worth €3.5m.
ESPN Brazil have also reported that Internacional had in fact started negotiations a few weeks ago but they were startled to find his wage demands which stands at £700,000 a month.
United are finding it difficult to sell Anderson and we had reported way back in November that the Red Devils could terminate the player’s contract. The 26 year old who was signed from Porto in 2007 for a whopping £26m had hardly made an impact at Old Trafford. Anderson had earlier failed to impress new manager Louis Van Gaal in the pre season and he has been told that he can head for the exit gate.
United could have paid the player £1.4m, the remaining cost left in his contract and ask him to find a new club. He had earlier spent a six month loan spell at Italian side Fiorentina last season but the player failed to impress during his stint. Thus the Florence based side rejected the chance to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.
