In a recent interview with Austrian media outlet Kurier, Dinamo Kiev defender Aleksander Dragovic has finally spoken about the speculations which have linked him with a move to Manchester United since the January transfer window.
Dragovic was tipped for a move to Old Trafford in the winter transfer window for a €20m deal but the versatile defender stayed put in his club. He has now claimed in the interview with Kurier that speculations bounce off him.
Dragovic said, “Speculations are already long but they bounce off me. I am not getting influenced. As long as there is nothing on the table…”
The report also stated that apart from the Red Devils, AS Roma, Arsenal, Dortmund and Liverpool are also interested in the player who can play anywhere in the back four. Dragovic had a brilliant spell for FC Basel winning the Swiss League thrice and has been in fine form for Dinamo Kiev since his move. In 2012, Dragovic was declared the Swiss Golden Player Award for the Best Defender.
Dragovic also features regularly in his national side had said earlier that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Nemanja Vidic back in 2013. In an interview with TMW (relayed by the Daily Express), the defender had said, “I dream to play in England. I hope to retrace the steps and the career of my model Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United.”
