The Reds scouts were in Portugal to watch Sporting’s 1-0 triumph over Porto, where the 23-year-old left sided defender had a good game.
According to ‘A Bola’, Liverpool scouts were very happy with that they saw and though nothing has been said about any offers, one can expect Brendan Rodgers will be getting good reviews and feedback concerning the Argentine.

Left-back is one of the positions where Liverpool need to invest in next season. Jose Enrique has missed most of the season with injury problems, while Aly Cissokho is likely to leave the club once his loan move finishes.
Liverpool have used both Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan this season on the left side, but this is not a long term solution. The Merseyside giants are also linked with Sevilla’s highly rated left back Alberto Monero, who is a reported target of Real Madrid.
