Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin remains coy on his future plans. The German midfielder, who is currently plying his trade in Spain, with Sevilla on a season long loan, says he will take a decision on his future at the end of the season.
Marion joined Chelsea in 2012 from Werder Bremen for £7m but having failed to make any significant impression, he was sent on loan to Sevilla, where he has had a decent campaign under his belt.
He has made 16 La Liga appearance this season bagging four assists. Marin had earlier expressed his delight with life in Spain, claiming he wants to continue his career at Sevilla, though admitted, it is something that his parent club can decide.
Now, in a recent interview with German news agency DPA, Marin said: “I have not yet made a decision. Meet me at the end of the season and we’ll talk about my situation.”
Well, we don’t see Marin has any role to play next season at Chelsea. The midfield is choc-a-bloc with talented players and the German star would find it hard to get regular games at the club.
Further, reports have also emerged that Chelsea are looking to sell him to Portuguese club Sporting in a part exchange deal for midfielder William Carvalho.
Though we are not too sure about the veracity of the story but can guess that Marin probably feature in Mourinho’s long term plans. In that case, the Blues might allow him to join Sevilla permanently or to any other club.
