Chelsea are all set to complete the appointment of Italy national team coach Antonio Conte as their new manager for next season.
Interim boss Guus Hiddink is expected to depart at the end of this season and the former Juventus manager will step in to replace Jose Mourinho long term.
Chelsea have handed Conte a three-year deal worth around 6.5 million Euros per season.
Last week, the Russian owner Roman Abramovich confirmed to the Chelsea players that Conte has been hired as their next manager.
Recent reports state that Abramovich and Conte are set to meet in Monte Carlo soon. The meeting was scheduled for last week but matters have been delayed and the two will now meet sometime next week.
Conte’s contract with Italy expires right after the Euro 2016 and he will move to England after that.
Italian media seem to believe that Chelsea will present him as their manager, at Stamford Bridge on the 14th of July.
The Italian enjoyed great domestic success with Juventus and will be expected to replicate that with the Premier League giants.
The likes of Klopp, Wenger and Guardiola are all set to be a part of the Premier League next season and Conte will be another vital addition.
Jose Mourinho, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, could be on the move as well.
