Damsgaard did well for Sampdoria last season and was outstanding for Denmark at the European Championships this summer.
His stunning free-kick against England in the semi-final served notice that he is a special talent.
It is no surprise that the Premier League clubs are keen on signing him. The player has also been linked with a move to Leeds United.
Spurs could definitely use a quality attacking midfielder like him.Β The Londoners have missed a specialist creator like Damsgaard since Christian Eriksen’s exit.
The 21-year-old is already a quality player for club and country and is likely to improve a lot more with experience and coaching.
He could prove to be a superb long term investment for Tottenham.
Damsgaard can operate in a variety of attacking roles and his versatility would be a bonus for Nuno Espirito Santo.
Sampdoria paid around β¬6.7 million to sign him from Nordsjaelland and will be hoping to make a significant profit if they are forced to sanction his departure.
