England’s exciting surge into the final of the European Championships sparked wild celebrations across the country in midweek.
The Three Lions’ extra-time victory over Denmark means they will now face Italy at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Predicting a winner is no easy task, with both teams producing several impressive performances over the past month.
Italy will undoubtedly be an extremely tough nut to crack, with Roberto Mancini’s team currently on a 33-match unbeaten run.
England’s run of 12 games without defeat is not to be sniffed at, and they will fancy their chances of ending their 55-year wait to win a major trophy.
If Gareth Southgate’s team get the job done, it is highly likely that many of the players will celebrate by splashing the cash on pre-owned watches.
We recently took an in-depth look at the 24 Euro 2020 finalists to determine which team owned the most expensive watch collection.
Portugal (£5.4 million) topped the standings, with France (£1.9m) and England (£1.8m) rounding off the top three.
When it comes to choosing stylish watches, England stars clearly love Rolex, with 17 players owning a piece from the Genevan firm’s collection.
Striker Harry Kane is a fan of Patek Philippe, owning a 5164R Aquanaut Travel Time and a 5980R Nautilus Chronograph worth an estimated £265,000.
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is in possession of a sought after Richard Mille RM35-02, which is valued at a staggering £360,000.
Italy were surprisingly ranked sixth in the standings, with their players’ watch collection valued at £716,000.
Lorenzo Insigne is a big fan of Richard Mille watches and is often seen sporting the £250,0000 RM 11-03 Titanium flyback chronograph model.
However, much like the rest of the Euro 2020 line-up, England and Italy have been blown out of the water by Portugal when it comes to spending on watches.
Their place at the top of the rankings can largely be attributed to Cristiano Ronaldo, with the forward boasting an impressive personal collection.
This includes a Franck Muller Cintree Tourbillon and a diamond-set Breguet Double Tourbillon, estimated to be worth more than £1.5 million between them.
France also finished ahead of the Euro 2020 finalists in the watch spending stakes, and Paul Pogba unsurprisingly loves to splash the cash on his wristwear.
Along with teammate Ousmane Dembele, the France midfielder has an affinity for rare and expensive Patek Philippes.
Dembele owns a 5976 white gold Patek Chronograph, while Pogba has been spotted wearing an ‘iced out’ factory diamond set 5719 Nautilus model in white gold.
These two watches alone are estimated to be worth £700,000, highlighting that the players are not shy about spending huge sums of money on watches.
