Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of this season.
According to Daily Record, the Scottish giants are resigned to losing the player and they are now actively looking at replacements.
Morelos has been linked with a few Premier League clubs already.
The report also adds that Steven Gerrard has drawn up a 5-man shortlist to replace his star striker.
Lawrence Shankland, Josh Maja, Rhian Brewster, Mohamed Buya and Adrian Grbic are the ones who are being looked at as potential replacements right now.
It will be interesting to see who comes in to replace the Colombian, should the 23-year-old move on.
There is no doubt that all five players are talented but Alfredo Morelos is the better player right now. Replacing him with these players might weaken the squad.
The Rangers ace bagged 30 goals last season and he has taken his tally to 29 so far this season. He is a proven goalscorer in Scotland and in Europe.
Rangers will have to invest properly if Morelos leaves the club this summer. They cannot afford to fall further behind Celtic.
If they want to challenge for the title next season, they will need a quality attacking unit at their disposal.
