With just under a week remaining in the summer transfer window, the Premier League elite are looking to wrap up their business quickly and finish the window strongly.
Here at Soccerlens we bring you some of the latest transfer news from Europe’s most popular footballing league.
Liverpool submit offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic
Jurgen Klopp has submitted an 11 million pounds offer for the American winger Christian Pulisic.
The 17-year-old is already being regarded as the best talent from his country and has impressed with Dortmund as well.
Klopp signed the player during his time at Dortmund and remains a fan of the teenager. The German is keen on a reunion and has therefore decided to tempt his former club with a substantial offer.
Pulisic has two years left on his current deal and is seen a key member of the first team squad. It is highly unlikely that Dortmund will sanction a sale, this late in the window.
However, reports add that Liverpool will pursue him next summer if a deal cannot be done right now.
Palermo interested in Mario Balotelli
It is no secret that Liverpool are doing everything they can to get rid of Mario Balotelli.
But the player’s reputation, wage demands, and performances over the last 12 months has made it difficult for the Reds to find a suitor for the Italian.
According to Di Marzio, Palermo are very interested in the player and the club’s president has already spoken to Balotelli about their interest. The report adds that Balotelli has agreed to join them, but the Serie A side won’t be able to afford his current wages.
Di Marzio claims that Liverpool might need to pay him off in order to get the player off their books this summer.
Chelsea want Fiorentina left-back Marcos Alonso
Chelsea’s need for a left back is no secret and Antonio Conte has once again turned his attentions towards Serie A for a solution.
The former Juventus manager has been eyeing several Serie A players (Koulibaly, Nainggolan, Romagnoli, and Brozovic) since the start of the summer, but has failed to complete a deal so far.
The latest addition to that list is the Fiorentina left-back Marcos Alonso. The former Bolton defender has impressed in Florence and Conte wants him at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have already loaned out their only specialist left-back Baba Rahman and are now forced to play a right sided defender there.
If Azpilicueta picks up an injury, there is no one in the Chelsea squad who can play as a left-back.
Alonso is a key member of the Fiorentina first team and the Italian side are demanding 21 million pounds for the 25-year-old.
Chelsea in talks for Marcelo Brozovic
Antonio Conte is looking to sign a central midfielder before the transfer window closes and is eyeing Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic as an ideal addition.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away ever since it was established that the Italian giants are after Joao Mario. Now that a deal for the Portuguese midfielder is done, the doubts about Brozovic’s future are growing by the day.
The Croatian midfielder is a target for the Blues and Gazzetta World are reporting that Chelsea have already had talks with the player’s representatives.
Apparently, Inter Milan are willing to let the player go for 30 million Euros this summer.
