In a exclusive interview with Goal.com, Liverpool defender Daniel Agger’s agent Per Steffensen has denied to make any comment on whether the Danish defender shall move to AC Milan or not.
It has been persistently reported that Agger was on the radar of Italian powerhouse AC Milan but the Italian side have officially denied the claim on their website.
But this has not tempered the speculation that Milan are still interested in signing the defender, who vice-president Adriano Galliani thinks would compensate for the injuried his team’s backline has suffered this season.
Agger’s representative Steffensen too seems to have added to the speculation. He refused to define whether Agger was interested in Milan or not but he did eventually admit that he could still make a move out of Anfield.
“I have no comments whatsoever to make about Daniel Agger and his contract. As you said, he still has 18 months left – that is the only fact. It’s difficult to say. It’s not only up to Daniel. He has said he is happy at Liverpool, but there are always two parties. I don’t know if he will stay,” he concluded.”
Seems like Daniel Agger’s Liverpool future is not going to stretch too long. After what, why would his agent refuse to comment on the speculation linking him to Milan? He could’ve easily said no, right?
