Chelsea have signed Brazilian midfielder Nathan Allan de Souza. The highly rated 19-year-old announced his move on social media site Instagram.
The deal has been hanging on for a while, but in the end Nathan has been able to complete the move. As per reports, the Blues have paid 6.2m Euros to secure his services.
The youngster is seen as one of the several exciting young talents in Brazil. Last month, The Telegraph reported that Nathan had arrived in London for a medical after he was being granted permission by his present club, Atletico Paramaense, to discuss personal terms.
Now, the deal has been completed. The youngster has shared photos of him signing a Chelsea contract and revealed that his dream has come true.
“I am greatly indebted to Atlético. I played there for six years and that was an important part of the journey that I lay down,” he said.
“I also thank Chelsea for the confidence it has in me. I will give everything to support the team “
Nathan won’t face much problems in adapting to new surroundings as he is set to link up with club’s strong Brazilian contingent, with the likes of Oscar, Willian, Ramires and Felipe Luis all in the first team squad.
