Ashley Young is a player reborn under Louis van Gaal. The Manchester United winger was slowly fading into oblivion, before the rejuvenation took place. He has become a key player for LvG in the second half of the season, and the club now have decided to reward him with a new three-year-contract.
Daily Mail claims that the 29-year-old will sign a new three-year deal to remain at Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Young has played in multiple positions this season and his versatility has impressed everyone at the club.
The England international earns a reported salary of £120k/wk wages at Old Trafford and his new contract will be on similar terms. Daily Mail suggest that the winger wants to see out his playing career at United, as he prepares to finish his fourth season at the club.
Young has been one of the consistent performers for the Red Devils this season and rightly deserves the new contract.
The former Aston Villa winger is also targeting a place in the England national team as well. He hasn’t played for his country since September 2013 but has not given up hope of a recall this summer.
