Former Chelsea attacking midfielder Kevin de Bruyne hopes to join a big European club and win trophies.
The 23-year-old Belgian midfielder has joined Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg after joining Chelsea and his impressive performances have caught the attention of top European clubs including the likes of Manchester United.
He has grabbed 11 goals and assisted 16 this season, with van Gaal reportedly lining up a shock £30m bid in the summer.
He said as quoted in The Independent: “Football is much about money. Wolfsburg is not yet like Bayern Munich, of course.
“And my biggest ambition is to come out for a big European club. One I can win trophies with. As much trophies as possible.”
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will be given another huge transfer kitty in the summer. If the reports are to be believed United are expected to make formal move for a creative midfielder, with Van Gaal admitting that need in the press conference as well.
Van Gaal’s personal choice is Roma’s midfielder Kevin Strootman, but given his recent injury concerns, United may look for alternatives elsewhere.
