Manchester United have already confirmed a big-name signing for next summer. Colombian forward Radamel Falcao, who is currently on loan at Old Trafford from French side Monaco, has agreed personal terms to make his deal permanent in 2015. Reliable source The Daily Mail has reported that the transfer fee for the striker will be in the region of £43.5 million, and Falcao will pocket a cool £250,000 per week. This is in addition to the £6 million loan fee that the club have paid to have him in their squad for this season.

United are bidding to avoid the situation that arose with Carlos Tevez back in 2009. Despite having finalised a fee to sign the Argentine from West Ham United, the club were unable to agree personal terms. Tevez went on to join United’s fierce-rivals Manchester City.

Falcao has started the last couple of games for Louis Van Gaal’s side and despite failing to score yet, has linked up well with Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie. Van Gaal clearly sees a big future for the Colombian at the club, and has therefore rushed to secure his signature on the permanent deal.

Despite landing some big names for huge sums of money, United are still struggling to find any sort of form, languishing in 7th place in the table. This weekend, Everton are the visitors to Old Trafford in what promises to be a fantastic game. Falcao will be looking to celebrate the permanent contract by opening his account for his new club.
