Accords to reports from Italian website TMW, Liverpool have reached an agreement to offload Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva to Napoli on a season long deal. The report has cited Gazzetta Dello Sport that Liverpool will receive €1.8m for the player’s loan deal with an option to buy at a fee of €10m at the end of the 2014-15 season.

It is believed that Napoli manager Rafa Benitez who brought the midfielder to Anfield in 2007 for just £5m reported made phone calls to convince the player to join the Partenopei.

Lucas was in fact left out of Liverpool’s away trip to the Etihad on Monday night and was present in the stands, which is a clear indication that the 27 year old has no future for the Reds under manager Brendan Rodgers. The central defensive midfielder had earlier hinted  that he would consider the option of leaving Liverpool, should he receive any better offers.

Moreover, Liverpool Echo reports that 20 year old left back Jack Robinson is also set to leave the club after fellow Premier League side Queens Park Rangers, offered the Reds £1m for his services. The player has also fallen down the pecking order following the £12m arrival of Alberto Moreno from Spanish side Sevilla.
