Liverpool are edging towards beating Tottenham Hotspur as Lille striker Divock Origi is set to snub the North London in order to complete his switch to Anfield.
The Belgium international was pictured to have appeared at Liverpool’s Melwood training base on Wednesday. Tottenham were interested in signing Origi and were set to hijack the Merseyside club’s move by making a last ditch £9.8m bid for the striker.

However, the 19-year-old is closing in on signing for Liverpool as he will become Brendan Rodgers’ fourth summer signing, following Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert from Southampton and Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
Origi’s impending move to Liverpool will be a major blow for Tottenham as they were interested in securing a deal for the World Cup striker.
