Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move to Manchester United since the end of last season and it appears that a transfer is now close to completion.

Sky Sports are reporting that everything has been agreed between the player and the club. The only thing left to complete is the medical, which should be done without any problems unless the player picks up a major injury during the Euros.

The player’s agent Mino Raiola and Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward discussed the personal terms and agreed on a one-year contract after negotiations in recent weeks.

Ibrahimovic is away with Sweden for the Euro 2016 right now and will undergo his Manchester United medical once the tournament is over.

Sky Sports add that both parties are relaxed about the situation and a deal is already in place and ready to be signed later this summer.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has decided not to renew his contract with French champions and will join Jose Mourinho’s side on a free transfer.

The striker has worked with Mourinho before and the duo enjoy a great working relationship. Both have publicly admitted the desire to work with each other again in future.

Ibrahimovic scored 50 goals for PSG last season and will hope to help Manchester United win the Premier League title once again next season.
