Manchester United have agreed on a new long-term contract with the highly talented defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
Telegraph report that the defender has impressed the new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and the Portuguese was keen on tying the player down to a long-term deal.
The highly rated 18-year-old defender made his first team debut last season under Louis Van Gaal. He was signed from the Dutch side Ajax in 2014.
According to Telegraph, Manchester United are set to announce the agreement later today. The Red Devils have recently agreed to new deals with other academy stars Marcus Rashford and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.
Fosu-Mensah is expected to serve as an understudy to Antonio Valencia at right back this season. The Dutch footballer can operate as a centre-back as well as a defensive midfielder too. The 18-year-old made 8 appearances for Manchester United in the Premier League last season.
