Glasgow Rangers have been very active in the summer transfer window but it seems Steven Gerrard is looking to bring more players at Ibrox.
The Gers boss has made as many as nine new signings since his arrival, but he has hinted that there could be at least one more arrival at the club before the transfer window closes.
The important part is Rangers have not only identified their targets, but also have moved in quickly to secure them.
Gerrard has confirmed that central defence is one area where he would be looking to bolster.
When asked if he is looking for extra cover now, Gerrard replied ‘Yes’, as quoted by The Daily Record.
The Gers have already signed two centre-backs, Connor Goldson from Brighton and Nikola Katic from Slaven Belupo, this summer.
However, following the departure of Bruno Alves, who is joining Italian club Parma, Gerrard feels that he needs a cover in that role.
Rangers have Fabio Cardoso as the other option. Exciting young talent Ross McCrorie can play in that position as well, despite being more suited to the central midfield role.
