Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Marca are now reporting that the Spanish outfit value Kounde at around €70 million and could be open to selling him to fund their open signings this summer.
SL View: Spurs might need to sell Kane to finance a move for Kounde
The French international is a prodigious talent and has the potential to develop into one of the best defenders in European football.
However, the €70m (£60m) asking price is quite high, and Spurs may struggle to pay that kind of money for the defender unless they sell a key player.
England international Harry Kane has been linked with a move to Manchester City, and the striker’s departure could help the Londoners afford the French defender.
Spurs will have to bring in quality defensive reinforcements this summer, and Kounde could prove to be a quality long term signing for them.
The 22-year-old was outstanding in the Spanish league last season, and he could be the ideal long term replacement for Toby Alderweireld.
He could form a quality partnership alongside Joe Rodon for years to come.
Kounde scored four goals and picked up an assist across all competitions last season.
The Frenchman is currently away on international duty with France and will be hoping to help them win the European Championships this summer.
