According to reports from The Sun (printed edition – 15/07/2018 – page 59) Cardiff City are keen to sign Ronaldo Vieira in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that Cardiff are set to make an offer of £8 million for the highly rated Leeds United midfielder who is on a £2k-per-week contract at the Yorkshire club.
After impressing for the academy, he made his debut under Steve Evans when he came on as a substitute for Stuart Dallas in a 1-1 draw against Preston.
However, it is under Garry Monk where he really flourished and fans saw his true potential. He was impressive during the 2-16-17 campaign and played 34 Championship games for Leeds.
Last season he made 25 appearances for the club, and at such a tender age, he is the crowning jewel for the Whites.
He also put in an impressive show this summer for the England’s under-20 side, and surely Leeds United will not be willing to part ways with their promising young talent.
Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City will be playing in the Premier League next season, and that could be a major factor in luring him away from Elland Road.
Leeds United have offloaded as many as 10 players this summer already, but Marcelo Bielsa surely would resist all temptations to sell Vieira.
