Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was keen to bring Harry Wilson to the Ibrox club in the summer transfer window, but the Liverpool winger is set to join Derby County instead.
The Gers fancied their chances of convincing Wilson to move north of the border, but it seems Steven Gerrard will be left disappointed.
The youngster recently signed a five year deal at the Anfield club. The club believe Wilson will benefit from another season in the Championship so that he can continue his development with regular first-team football next season.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the Reds have received a lot of offers for Wilson.
The Scottish Sun reports that the Championship side have come up with the best offer for the Welsh youngster.
According to reports from ESPN, Stoke City and Aston Villa were also keen to secure his services.
Wilson, who enjoyed a fine spell with Hull City on loan last season, was left out of the Liverpool squad against Bury in their pre-season friendly on Saturday.
