Real Madrid are considering a loan deal for forward Jese Rodriguez to help him acquire crucial playing time next season, reports Spanish newspaper Marca.

Once dubbed as one of the best young prospects in the world, Jese has failed to establish himself as a regular starter at the Spanish capital.

Falling behind in the pecking order by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and James Rodriquez, the Spanish International has failed to recoup the excellent form of his breakthrough season in 2013/14 since the serious knee injury he suffered against Schalke 04 in March 2014.

The 2016 European champions considered to loan out Jese last summer as well, but the then Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez opted against the decision and kept him at the club by providing him with the role of a back-up forward in the squad.

Jese, who started in just 15 games in all competition last campaign, while coming off the bench of 29 different occasions, scored only five league goals and is highly expected to be loaned out this time around.

The Spaniard fell further down the pecking down since Lucas Vazquez broke into the first team following the appointment of Zidedine Zidane, who wants Jese to get hold of maximum playing minutes on the pitch next season.

Although move to a mid-table La Liga club appears to be the most realistic outcome, several European clubs have been alerted by Jese’s availability and are prepared to provide first team role to the ingenious forward.

Since Jese’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu runs out at the end of next campaign, the player and the club are reportedly in talks to negotiate his proposed new long-term contract.

The 23-year-old, however, wants to seek assurances that he is part of Zidane’s future plans before signing on the dotted lines to stay at his boyhood club beyond next season.
