Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move away from France for a while now.

The highly talented forward is one of the best young players in the world right now and Spanish publication Marca believe that he is heading to Real Madrid this summer. As per the latest reports, Los Blancos have agreed on a fee with Monaco for the 18-year-old. He will be earning around 7 million euros per season at Santiago Bernabeu and is expected to sign a six-year deal.

Real Madrid will smash the world transfer record in order to sign the prodigious young talent from Monaco. Marca are reporting that Mbappe will cost Real Madrid a sum of 180 million euros. The European champions will pay 160 million euros upfront and the rest will be paid with add-ons. The report adds that Zidane has already given his blessing to the transfer following a meeting with club president Florentino Perez and general director Jose Angel Sanchez out in Los Angeles.

Mbappe had an outstanding season last year and he helped his team win the Ligue 1 and reach the semi finals of the Champions League. Real Madrid are keen on adding to their attack this summer and Zidane identified the young Frenchman as an ideal target.

The Spanish champions got rid of James Rodriguez (loan with an option to buy) and Alvaro Morata (permanent transfer) earlier this summer. Mbappe could be a key part of Real Madrid’s attacking trio next season. Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to lead the attack and the likes of Bale and Mbappe should flank him.

Mbappe scored 26 goals in 44 games for Monaco last season.
