Rangers have agreed a deal to sign the highly talented Croatian defender Nikola Katic.
The move has been officially confirmed that the player has signed a four-year deal at Ibrox. The former Slaven Belupo star will now look to make an impression under Steven Gerrard next season.
Katic is very highly rated within the game and the U21 international was recently handed his senior Croatia debut against Mexico.
The 21-year-old made 34 appearances for Slaven Belupo last season.
It will be interesting to see whether he can adapt to the challenges of Scottish football now.
Katic certainly has the physicality and the Scottish league will be the ideal test of his mentality. The 6ft 4in defender will be expected to help Rangers challenge for the title next season.
Rangers struggled at the back last season and Gerrard wanted to address that problem this summer. The new Rangers manager has done exactly that. Brighton star Connor Goldson is also expected to join Rangers this summer.
