Liverpool will travel to London to face Chelsea in the Premier League, looking to bounce back strongly in the title-race after their heroic defeat against Manchester City on the Boxing Day.
Despite losing against City on Thursday, Liverpool can take great pride from their performances and certainly there would be no shortage of confidence when they take on Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
Liverpool have no such major injury news. Jon Flanagan, Steven Gerrard, Daniel Strurridge all out with injury, while Victor Moses is unavailable, as he cannot play against his parent club.
Defence: This is one area, where Brendan Rodgers might make some changes. Daniel Agger may come in for Sakho, while Martin Skrtel has received criticisms for his average performance against City.
Midfield: In absence of Steven Gerrard, Liverpool manager has no other options left really rather to try with the trio of Lucas, Henderson and Joe Allen.
Forward: Striker Luis Suarez once again holds the centre of attention, while Coutinho and ever improving Sterling will operate on either flanks.
Prediction: 1-1; If Liverpool can replicate their performance of Thursday, they should get something out of the match.
