Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is in talks with Manchester United regarding a return to the Premier League.
Apparently the player is interested in joining Jose Mourinho’s side and the Portuguese coach wants the deal done early.
The player has been linked with Real Madrid as well, but it appears that Los Blancos will be priced out of a deal. Manchester United are ready to complete a world record transfer for the Frenchman.
Earlier there were reports that Manchester United have already agreed a deal with the player and will offer a fee of 120 million Euros to Juventus.
Now L’Equipe (via Sportwitness) are claiming that Pogba has clearly expressed the desire to return to Old Trafford.
Telegraph add that Jose Mourinho wants Pogba to complete the transfer before the 7th of August (when Manchester United play Leicester in the Community Shield).
It is evident that the fee is not an issue for Manchester United and they have already agreed to meet the player’s wage demands of around 15 million Euros per season. Therefore, if Real Madrid are indeed priced out of a deal, Pogba’s move to Old Trafford is a matter of when rather than if.
Pogba has helped his country reach the finals of the European Championships this summer and any transfer will have to wait for the tournament to end. The player is likely to be focused on the final rather than the move right now.
