Highly talented Dutch winger Tahith Chong is close to completing his move to Manchester United.
A deal has already been agreed with Feyenoord for the technically gifted winger and he confirmed it earlier this month on his Instagram account as well.
Speaking to the media, Chong said that he has already visited the club a few times and is very impressed with their youth accommodation. He also confirmed that his parents will join him in England later this summer.
Chong is one of the most talented Dutch players of his age and was scouted by Manchester United during a youth tournament in Carrington.
Chong will join the club’s U18s side once he completes the move officially.
He also also confirmed that he is already in touch with three of his new teammates through the social media and is curious about meeting the others when he comes to England.
He said: “I’ve been there a few times and am definitely impressed by the club. United has a really nice accommodation for the youth and it is up to me to make that step. My parents will go to England and it’s nice to have their support there.”
“Through Instagram I already had contact with three guys from the team, but otherwise I do not know yet the team. I’m curious.”
The Dutch winger will be hoping that he is given plenty of chances in future by the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. The former Chelsea boss is not exactly famous for his faith in youth and it will be interesting to see how he handles the club’s youth prospects.
