Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is an admirer of the Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan and his interest in signing the player is no secret.
Earlier this week, the player also confirmed talks between the two clubs and revealed that Conte has wanted to sign him for quite some time.
Now there are reports that Nainggolan has asked Roma to consider Chelsea’s offer seriously as it is a ‘big deal’ for him.
He said: “I’ve always stated what I want. I’m happy at Roma and that is where I see myself. On the other hand, an offer from Chelsea is a big deal and you have to take into consideration. I’ve said what I want, now let’s see what the club have to say.”
The Belgian has been one of the finest players in Serie A over the last two seasons and is clearly angling for a move to the Premier League.
Although Roma have said that they will not sell him or Pjanic, Italians have always been willing sellers for the right price.
Nainggolan is also a target for Manchester United who are looking to strengthen their midfield. However, with Matic wanting to leave Chelsea, the Blues are expected to push for the Belgian now. Conte will want to strong midfield in place before the season starts.
Chelsea are also in talks to sign the Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer.
