Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is apparently looking to reshape his defence and is willing to get rid of the Italian international Matteo Darmian.
Darmian joined Manchester United last summer under Louis Van Gaal and had a reasonable season. The Italian produced some quality performances and also struggled in some games.
The 26 year old made 39 appearances for the Red Devils and could be on his way out this summer.
According to latest reports, Mourinho is not impressed with the Italian and is looking to sell him this summer. The Manchester United defender is a target for Italian side Juventus, who could lose their first choice right back Stephan Lichtsteiner to Premier League outfit Chelsea.
Selling Darmian would be a bit of shock considering the fact that the Italian has shown that he is a good player and is only likely to improve in future. Furthermore, there are lack of good full backs in the transfer market and United might struggle to upgrade.
Conte wants to sign the Juventus defender this summer and Darmian is being eyed as a replacement.
Mourinho has already signed Eric Bailly from Juventus and will look to sign two more defenders before the window closes. The Red Devils have been linked with moves for Bonucci, Stones and Varane.
Mourinho will be hoping to deliver a trophy in his first season and it seems that the Portuguese is ready to be ruthless in order to improve his squad.
