Borussia Dortmund striker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to complete his Manchester United transfer this week.
The Armenian midfielder travelled to Manchester yesterday afternoon according to Manchester Evening News.
The Bundesliga outfit have apparently accepted an improved offer for the attacking midfielder in the region of 30 million pounds.
Dortmund executive Watzke confirmed earlier this week that the club are considering the bid and a decision could be made soon.
Mkhitaryan and his agent Mino Raiola are determined to complete a ‘dream transfer’ after a productive season in Bundesliga. Mkhitaryan racked up 25 assists and chipped in with 19 goals from the midfield.
One of the best attacking midfielders in Europe right now, Mkhitaryan will be Jose Mourinho’s third signing since taking over.
Manchester United have already announced the transfers of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Yesterday, the Manchester United club store dropped a major hint about the Mkhitaryan transfer. The new away kit was put on sale with the Armenian’s name on the back. The listings were later removed from the site however.
Manchester Evening News are claiming that Mkhitaryan was set to arrive at Manchester Airport’s private terminal at 3.30pm yesterday. In that case, the player has probably passed his medical till now and should be presented to the media soon.
