Current Dutch national team coach Louis Van Gaal has heaped praise on Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, thus fueling speculations that the new Manchester United manager might be given the freedom the sign the Chilean in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 62 year old Dutch Legend said to reporters, “Chile have very dangerous players.”
“I always wanted to buy Vidal when he was at Bayer Leverkusen but he went to Juventus”
“I like a lot of Chile players and they always play an attacking style. It will be difficult for the Netherlands but we have confidence in the three games we have to play.”
Whether or not Vidal would Manchester United or not is a completely different story but Van Gaal’s praise on the midfielder surely means that the former Barcelona and Ajax manager wants to bring top targets to Old Trafford in the summer.
We had earlier reported that Champions League winners Real Madrid are willing to bid €50m for the Chilean who has enjoyed yet another stunning season for the Bianconeri who won their third consecutive Serie A title this season.
The 27 year old is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in the world and would seamlessly fit into the Manchester United starting eleven but the lack of Champions League action for the Red Devils might ultimately lead to several failures to attract big names in the upcoming transfer window.
