Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

The Ecuador international is no longer the player he was under Sir Alex Ferguson and has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United.

According to latest reports, the new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not interested in holding on to the South American and therefore the Premier League giants will begin negotiations to offload him. The report states that Manchester United have given Galatasaray the green light and negotiations are set to begin in the next few days.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing Valencia and the Manchester United board is willing to lower their demands in order to facilitate a swift transfer. Mourinho wants the player sold and the club are willing to fulfill his wish. Galatasaray are looking to offer the player an exit route and a 3 year contract.

Antonio Valencia joined the Red Devils from Wigan in 2009 for £14m. He was one of their best players under Sir Alex Ferguson and ended up taking the legendary number seven shirt. However, after a sharp decline, Valencia is set to end his Old Trafford adventure after seven years, having racked up 21 goals and 55 assists in 249 games.
