Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
The Welsh midfielder has not received any assurances of regular first team football next summer and is expected to complete a transfer soon.
The likes of Swansea, West Ham and Stoke are apparently interested in the player and the latest name in the list of suitors is Manchester United.
Apparently, Jose Mourinho is looking to sign the Liverpool midfielder this summer and he could be a replacement for the likes of Schweinsteiger. The German international has been linked with a move to Turkey.
A transfer from Liverpool to Manchester United is highly unlikely because of the rivalry between two clubs and the fact that Allen is unlikely to get much game time at Old Trafford either. Furthermore, Allen is a popular player amongst the Liverpool fans and the transfer would not go down well.
The former Swansea star had an outstanding tournament in France and would be a good addition to any Premier League side. His ability to retain the ball, recover it in a pressing game and add composure to his side’s midfield is priceless.
Klopp is looking to get rid of the out of favour stars quickly this summer and it will be interesting to see if Manchester United come up with a concrete offer for the Welsh international in the coming weeks.
With most sides having started pre-season already, Allen will be hoping to get his future sorted quickly and join his new teammates as early as possible.
